BELONG ABSOLUTELY TO JESUS CHRIST
|
|
Marie Rivier
|
|
Marie Rivier had
received the grace of a passionate love for Jesus Christ. Her
sole desire to belong totally to him inspired this ardent prayer in
her: O Jesus, that I may live for you alone and that you
alone may be everything for me.
For
two centuries, Marie Rivier has transmitted this totally demanding
love to thousands of women who have consecrated themselves entirely to
the Lord at Presentation of Mary. One day, they were challenged
by the words of Jesus: Come, follow me! It was an
encounter that completely changed their lives. |

|
|
Marie Rivier believed that formation (to religious life) had Jesus
Christ as sole foundation. We have left everything to follow
this one Master.
Rule of Life |
|

|
In the midst of the people of God, the
Church receives the unconditional offering of our lives which we make
to the Lord. At our final commitment through the vows of
chastity, poverty, and obedience, we receive a ring. We wear it
as a sign of the covenant of love made between God and ourselves at
our religious profession.
Sr. Lorraine
Aucoin receives the ring, symbol of her final vows, on July 13,
2002. Province of Manchester - USA |

By
this total and definitive gift of our whole being to the Lord,
|
|
we
have surrendered ourselves entirely to his word.
Rule of Life |
|
TO BE A SIGN
at the heart of the world and of the Church.
TO LOVE like Jesus, without condition,
with a universal heart.
TO BE FREE like Jesus, with regard to
temporary, passing goods.
TO BE AVAILABLE like Jesus, to
accomplish in all things
the loving will of the Father. |

All for God! all through His Holy Love!
is the motto that expresses the absoluteness of our consecration.

Rule of Life
|
|
 |
Mary, in the mystery of her
Presentation in the Temple,
is the model of our consecration.
We are the daughters of Mary,
called to live like her, before God,
in a state of worship and self-oblation,
walking in love in his
presence.
